B(l)ackout

Along with Camp Loopy, the Yarn Social Bingo game also came to a close this week.

Five bingo cards with yellow daubs on squares

I was aiming for the blackout, of course, but I failed to start my Edith mitts (mitts, cables, intarsia), finish my Little House (felt something on purpose), or start my Summer Slipover (pattern in a language I can’t read). I wasn’t even able to swing a picture frame!

Enh, well, it was still such a good time. I got a lot of tactile joy of daubing off squares as I completed them, and the online forum was such a fun group. It also finally got me to finish my 2015 Sky Scarf (Ravelry link) and to frog an old vest, intended for my dad, that I was never going to finish. Without Bingo, I don’t think I’d have had the motivation.

Trish, the owner at Yarn Social, says she has something else fun planned starting in October, and I’m looking forward to it!
