This will not come as a surprise to anyone who knows me even a little bit, but when Sewrella Yarn came out with a line inspired by the Disney Parks, I about lost my mind.
I’m actually pretty proud I didn’t buy the whole shop. I made some concerted choices with specific patterns in mind, but because it’s me, I made one choice just because I couldn’t say no:

This is the “Cast Member” mini skein set. The colors are called Mary Blair (for the imagineer), Sleeping Beauty’s Castle, Neverland, Hitchhiking Ghosts, and Tomorrowland. Plus, you know, the colors are gorgeous.
I’m still not totally sure what I want to make with these precious minis. Most of the “mini” patterns I’ve seen use about 25 mini skins for yarn advent calendars. While I wouldn’t mind adding a neutral contrasting color, I want these minis to shine in their full glory. I’m turning to you all to help me decide what to make.
Heads up: All of these pattern links go to Ravelry.
Option 1: A small shawl
This is the simplest solution, but also the one I feel the most “meh” about. I may be overthinking it, though.
Option 2: Socks
If I were to make socks, I would like to do something like these knee-highs. That would require a full, neutral skein for the stripes (and toes, heels, and cuffs).
Option 3: Mitts
Something like these zig zag mitts would show off the colors well!
And finally, Option 4: A pillow
This would require a lot more of a neutral yarn, but I think this would look stunning as a pillow (and I had to have at least one crochet option).
So, what do you think? Which would you make with these magical minis? You can let me know in the comments or vote with a click in my Instagram stories!
