Lunch-Hour Knitting

I am coming to terms with the fact that I’m not as prolific a crafter as I used to be.

And sure, I used to have fewer responsibilities taking up my time. I would knit through classes instead of working full-time. I wouldn’t even say it was the speed at which I craft (though, I am notably slower than many of my crafting friends).

I think the true cause is requiring dedicated time to craft. Sure, I still steal moments at stoplights and in line, but I used to steal moments everywhere: waiting for my next appointment, lunch breaks, even during workouts. Lately, if I can’t sit and knit for at least half an hour, I won’t bother.

And that’s a shame! Any progress at all is progress, and those little moments through out the day add up.

In an effort to get closer to my previous output, I’m making myself work on a project with whatever lunch hour I have left after eating. Whether it’s 15 minutes or 5, I hope this progress will get my motivation back to work on projects whenever I can.

Where do you sneak in some crafting time? Let me know in the comments.
