The Neighborhood Breed Study

I’m so excited about my latest class coming up in March!

The first reason is it’s my first class I’m offering at the Kansas City Textile Art Center. Yes, the same center I took my Tapestry Weaving course with. I think their course offerings are creative, they have options for newbies and established fiber arts alike (and everyone in-between), and share so many of my values, including growing the fiber arts community inclusively.

One of those values is supporting my local fiber community whenever possible, which inspired the class I chose to offer: The Neighborhood Breed Study.

Three balls of fiber and a drop spindle

This breed study includes three different sheep’s wool, Blue-face Leicester, Shetland, and Babydoll Southdown, all from sheep near Kansas City! We’ll go over fiber benefits, spinning tips, and project ideas for each breed.

Each class ticket comes with the three different rovings and an handmade drop spindle. Hope you’ll be able to join me on Saturday, March 26, from 10:00am – 1:00pm!
