Halloween is one of my all time favorite holidays. And sure, now I hand out the candy instead of ask for it, but I love the movies, the treats, and most of all, the costumes!
Of course, fiber artists are usually pressed into service to create the perfect costume. I do have one handmade costume that is my favorite, and I didn’t even make it.

When I was working for the Mouse, my mom and aunt came to visit me for Halloween (since it’s also my mom’s favorite holiday). I got us tickets to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party, which is the only time adults can dress up inside the parks. My aunt had a genius idea for a group costume: the three good fairies from Sleeping Beauty. She made all three of our costumes: wings, wands, and all. It was a memorable Halloween to be sure.

This year was fiber artsy in that I ironed letters on to a premade piece of clothing…. Enh, well, I’ll get it next year. Have you made any really cool costumes? Tell me about them in the comments or tag your photos with #fiberadventures.
Have a great Halloween everybody!
