Crocheting with Hand-dyed Yarn

I have always loved the indie dyer Hummingbird Moon‘s bright colors. Michele is amazing about making samples so people can see how her masterpieces knit up, but she doesn’t crochet. Last I saw her, she lamented not having crocheted samples to show as well. So, I busted the hooks out and got to work!

I decided on little squares. The first is worked flat, first in single crochet, then half double, and finally double. I also did a granny square, which is worked in the round, so people should have a good idea how the colors come together no matter what their project is!
