My Iowan aunts dropped of a few quilt tops to me this weekend. Sure, they have quilters and quilt shops back home, but they left them with me because I have found this gem of a quilt shop in small-town Kansas.

Quilter’s Paradise in Baldwin City, Kansas is one of my all-time favorite quilt shops! Kathy, the resident long-arm quilter, is a true artist. Since I’m not a “real” quilter, I just bring my tops and backs to her, and let her decide the rest. It always turns out better than I could have imagined!

They also have an amazing selection of fabrics. I almost always find something I can’t leave without. That top hanging in the center really caught my eye this time, and they had all of those fabrics right at the front of the store.

I decided I needed a half-yard of at least these two colors. I’m thinking they will become a project bag, but what would you do with them? Should I get more and try a new quilt top? Let me know in the comments, and be sure to check out Quilter’s Paradise if you’re in the area!
I feel you were very restrained! I would have needed an articulated truck because I would not have been able to tie my choice down 😎

Right?! It was a struggle, I’m not going to lie.
