Let’s fly, let’s fly away… I do love Sinatra, and I’ve been running out of flying puns!
And speaking of love, I had it at first sight when I saw Wingspan by Kyle Vey. It’s such a fun design, and there’s so many ways to wear it. You can play up the wings or tone it down. It’s truly remarkable.
I wanted to make one in some gorgeous Th’red Head Designs Mini Boomer to wear out to Faire. I’ve been so busy with other projects, though, so I’m doubling down on my deadline and offering it as a class at The Studio Knitting and Needlepoint!
The classes are on Tuesdays, Aug. 6, 13 & 27, from 6-8 p.m. All you need is about 800 yds of fingering weight yarn (more or less if you want to try either of the new sizes!), size 3 and 7 needles (or whatever size gives you gauge), a cable needle, and a tapestry needle.
The shawl utilizes cables, short-rows, and basic increases and decreases. I will go over all of those in class, so don’t feel like you have to know those techniques already to make this beautiful shawl!
If you’re interested, you can sign up here. I can’t wait to see you there!
