“Life’s a little bit messy. We all make mistakes. No matter what type of animal you are, change starts with you.” – Judy Hopps, Zootopia
You might have noticed a few changes going on around here!

My good friend and coworker, Shea, designed a logo for me, and it inspired me to redesign the whole site. I couldn’t be happier with it!
I’ll bet you’re all wondering, why a spider? Arachnophobia is one of the most common specific phobias, and those of you who know me personally know it’s a phobia I have. However, spiders have kind of grown on me over the years for a couple of reasons.
There’s the Greek myth about Arachne, the weaver who thought herself better than the gods, and because of her pride was turned into a spider. There’s Lucas the Spider, one of my all-time favorite, on-going, animation shorts. Who would have thought they’d be able to make a spider so cute?!
What really sealed my decision, though, is while I had plenty of fiber-producing animals to choose from, the most famous fiber artist in all of the animal kingdom is the spider. They’re pretty nonchalant about it, too. Have you ever seen a particularly perfect, beautiful spider web? They don’t stay up long, do they? Spiders don’t care. They just start on the next web.
As devastating as it is to put your heart and soul into a project that doesn’t turn out the way you planned, it’s going to happen. That’s how adventures work. I think the spider is an excellent inspiration to grow and say “Well, that happened, on to the next project.”
And, of course, my spider is plying on a drop spindle, because that’s what my fiber-artist spider does. How do you like the new logo and look? Let me know in the comments!
There’s no doubt that many other internet site users should take this blog as being an design, especially clean and great easy to designing, besides
this content. You’re a consultant in this particular topic!
