You all know my friend Kristin, right? She guest-wrote on my blog a little while back. She also got her first pattern on Ravelry earlier this year!
It’s a fun, toe-up sock pattern where you hold a traditional sock yarn and lofty mohair together to make FUZZY SOCKS! How genius is that! So, of course, I picked out yarn for it as soon as I was able, but I haven’t had an opportunity to cast-on yet.
Kristin wore her socks while we lounged around at the Sunflower Knitter’s Guild retreat, so everyone got to see and feel how awesome they were. We had quite a group that also wanted to make a pair, so we thought why not host a knit-along?
And that’s exactly what we’re going to do! Grab your favorite sock yarn and a coordinating mohair, the pattern is free on Ravelry. We’ve decided we’re going to have a Cast-on Party at the HyVee Bar on 95th and Metcalf in Overland Park at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 3rd. Want to join us but can’t be there in person? Join us on Instagram with the hashtag #FuzzySocksKAL. We’re hoping to have a finished pair of socks by the end of May, but don’t feel like you have to hold yourself to the same standard!
So join us! You know you want a handmade pair of fuzzy socks!
I don’t know if it’s just me or if perhaps everybody else encountering problems
with your site. It appears as though some of
the text on your posts are running off the screen. Can somebody else
please provide feedback and let me know if this is happening to them as well?
This may be a issue with my web browser because I’ve had this
happen before. Thank you
