Yep, being able to do the same events I did prepandemic is still magical.
The local spinning show Ply Away was one that I noticeably missed, since it was supposed to happen in April of 2020, at the height of our lockdown. However, for all I missed it that year, this time it was barely on my radar. I’m not totally sure why. Maybe it was because I didn’t register for any classes this time around.
That all changed when my friend Sarah, The Sexy Knitter, asked if I wanted to be her booth helper at the show this year. I jumped at the opportunity to get out of the office for a couple of days, surrounded by fibery things and folks (I was, however, determined not to purchase anything).
What an absolute joy this show was. The crowd was no where near the prepandemic level, but that was probably for the best. Those that I did see where just as happy to be back as I was. I also saw friends I hadn’t seen since the before times, and it meant so much to be able to catch up.

And I almost made it through the whole show without buying anything… Isn’t this so cool, though? They’re Timebomblets from Gritty Knits. It’s an advent without the anticipation (and I know it’s going to fade, so I can make a Skeinanigans Countdown Cardi!!).
So, so grateful for the whole show. It was so amazing to be at it again.
