Jumpseat Therapy Kits

I work in marketing. It’s not super often I see one ad and buy something immediately, but that is what happened when I saw these Jumpseat Therapy kits.

What got me so quick on these was the company’s origin story. It’s a fairly new company started by a former flight attendant who really struggled with work during the pandemic. When Jocelyn found herself relying on alcohol more and more to get through shifts, a change was needed. That change: cross stitch.

We love fiber arts as mental health coping mechanisms here! The second thing that sold we was the affordability. I haven’t seen an all-included, self-finishing cross stitch kit for less than $20 (plus tax and shipping) in a very long time before I found Jumpseat Therapy. So, I grabbed myself a kit, and started stitching on a flight to see family in Texas.

I was surprised by the quality of the materials in the kit for the price, honestly. Plenty of thread, aida fabric that was stiff enough to not require a hoop, and scissors sharp enough to cut said aida to pop into the self-finishing luggage tag.

It’s also been ages since I stitched a stamped cross stitch project, and let me tell you, it was a delight. No pattern checking, just a relaxing stitching experience. I did manage to start and finish this over the two flights, there and back!

I have since bought more kits… If you are looking to start cross stitch (or return to a childhood favorite, like me), I can’t recommend Jumpseat Therapy enough.
