Hello, 2025

I am finally back!

2024 was not my best year… I moved again. I pushed myself into really bad burnout again, but I also got to see my growth in real time. I could brush off many things that would have ruined full days even a year ago. Having some rest under my belt, a new calendar year seemed as good a time as any to get back in my writing habit.

That said, most of my 2024 goals went out the window about halfway through the year.

Make nine 2024

I only finished two of my nine WIPs from my MakeNine2024: a Tree Blankie for my buddy Lewis and my Countdown Cardi (Ravelry links).

Expand on New Skills

Weaving went to the wayside this year, too, but I got to do a lot with the Dean and Bean CSM! Made some new socks and toys. I also took opportunities for networking and professional development in my day job, as well as learned to run TTRPGs for my friends (not fiber, but it’s nice to remember what was accomplished all the same!).

Clear out projects I know are “DNF”

I actually did this!! It was only a couple of projects, but every bit counts.

For 2025, I’m keeping it simple:

Have less wips than i started the year with

It’s still an embarrassingly high number, but even if it’s just one project less, I’ll take that.

Get back to writing
