AdhDiy Craft Cafe

I had an absolutely delightful outing in the West Bottoms neighborhood of KC last weekend.

I first learned about the AdhDiy Craft Café through Instagram. It was like a paint-and-sip place, but in addition to painting, there were a bunch of craft options. You can BYOB, but they also have tea! (When I told one of my friends I was going, she joked “Are you sure it’s not just an elaborate scheme to kidnap you?” because crafts and tea would get me in the van!)

A reservation is recommended, and the table is yours for an hour-and-a-half. While so many of the craft offerings peaked my interest, I went with the macramé key chain. It’s still fiber art and the one on the list I had the least experience with.

The crafts come with written instructions and QR codes to videos, if you need them. I had a blast making the keychain and finished it so quickly. I even ended up ordering the crochet option, just to see how they went about it.

It came with a bunch of hook sizes, so you could select anything of their yarn wall to try the craft out. It also came with locking stitch markers to help beginners track their rows. I busted out a little coaster with the rest of my reservation time.

I’d highly recommend a visit to the AdhDiy Craft Cafe the next time you’re in the West Bottoms!
