There actually isn’t any knitting in this post, but who can pass up on that wordplay?
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays of the year. I love all the food, and I love to make the family favorite cranberry sauce. I love watching the parade, essentially on mute because we didn’t bother to vacuum before the holiday, and finally, I love sitting on the couch with a good movie or some football and working on a project so I’m not tempted to graze in the kitchen before dinner!
My main project today is my first locker hooking project ever. Does anyone remember when I went to the Silver Dollar City Pumpkin and Craft Festival, and I was introduced to locker hooking for the first time? Well, with the help of my Aunt Kathy, I sneakily got one of their kits: a pumpkin, of course. My plan was to have it done to give to my mom for Thanksgiving.
Here’s what it’s supposed to look like:

And here’s where I am:

Enh well, Mom loves pumpkins as much as I do. She’ll have it for next year.
I’m constantly questioning whether I should work on past due deadlines or ones that are upcoming. This is a hat in progress for a friend who I don’t think reads this blog, but I guess we’ll see.

I’m thankful for all of you who take the time to read my ramblings about my passions, and I want to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving full of food, family, and some of your own ThanksKnitting!
What fun! Spending the day with family and working on whatever floats your boat!
